The purpose for bringing Design Thinking to the classroom:
The process is creative and collaborative. Two skills needed to become a productive member of tomorrow's "real-world". This process will allow students to explore topics of interest and drive their own learning, along with a group of peers. During Design Thinking students will develop verbal, written and visual communication skills.
We will start with pre-designed activities to expose the students to each step of the process. We will then spend a majority of the first semester on community service based projects. During the final part of the year students will explore a topic of interest with a group to develop their own "product".
